My path into this work began long before I trained as a counsellor.
There was a time in my life when everything I thought I knew seemed to fall apart.
Following a significant life change, I found myself navigating loss, uncertainty
and experiences that left me questioning my own reality, voice and sense of self.
From the outside, I appeared to be coping.
Inside, I knew something needed to change.
What I was searching for was not a way to get through each day, but a way to reconnect with myself.
I wanted to understand what had happened, why I felt so disconnected from who I had once been,
and how I could begin to rebuild trust in myself again.
My healing journey began with curiosity and a willingness to explore different paths.
I discovered Reiki, meditation, creativity and nature connection.
What began as a search for healing gradually became a deeper journey of self-discovery.
Along the way, I realised that many of the qualities I had spent years hiding were not weaknesses at all.
My sensitivity.
My intuition.
My creativity.
My capacity to feel deeply and notice what others might miss.
These were parts of myself that had often been misunderstood or discouraged, yet they became some of my greatest strengths.
Through meditation, creative practice and personal reflection, I began to reconnect with a deeper sense of who I was beneath the expectations, roles and survival strategies I had carried for so long.
Creativity became one of the ways I listened.
Nature became a place of restoration and perspective.
Meditation became a daily practice of returning to myself.
Over time, I came to understand that healing is not always about fixing what is wrong. Sometimes it is about remembering who we are beneath everything that has caused us to doubt ourselves.
Alongside this personal journey, I felt increasingly drawn towards supporting others. This led me into counselling training, where I found a professional home within the person-centred approach. I was deeply moved by the belief that every person has the capacity for growth, healing and self-understanding when offered the right conditions.
Today, my work brings together counselling, supervision, Reiki training, meditation and creative exploration.
Although these may appear to be different paths, they are connected by a shared intention:
To help people reconnect with themselves and trust their own inner voice.
I work particularly well with people who find themselves at a crossroads in life.
Those navigating change.
Those recovering from difficult relationships or painful experiences.
Those questioning old patterns.
Those longing to trust themselves again.
Those who sense there may be more to life than simply surviving.
My role is not to provide all the answers.
It is to walk alongside you as you discover your own.
When I'm not working, you'll often find me painting, walking in nature, exploring ancient places, writing, or following my own continuing path of curiosity, creativity and growth.
I have come to believe that healing is rarely about becoming someone different.
More often, it is a process of coming home to ourselves and reconnecting with the qualities, strengths, creativity and wisdom that have always existed beneath the noise of life.
Because when we begin to trust ourselves again, something shifts.
We hear our own voice more clearly.
We move through life with greater confidence and authenticity.
And we discover that the path forward may not be about becoming somebody else at all.
It may be about remembering who we already are.
